These individuals experience great isolation and face great prejudice and discrimination in their communities, due to factors outside their control. The leprosy villages in Vietnam lack basic human resources, such as access to clean water, food, and proper sanitation. No human being deserves to be stripped of these basic needs for survival. No human being deserves to be treated like an outcast.
